Shop Owner FAQ

Can I open a shop?

Yes! If you are a preservation society, organisation or museum and would like to have a shop featured in our marketplace, please fill out our contact form and we will contact you as soon as possible.

Who supplies the products?

We are partnered with GDMK Images to supply most products. However, each shop can list products produced by their own 3rd party supplier.

What Products Can I List?

You are free to list pretty much any product.

However, you cannot list any of the following products or product types

  • items of a sexual nature
  • vaping or vape related paraphernalia
  • products containing tobacco
  • products containing alcohol
  • bladed products

Fees

We charge fees to finance the operation of the marketplace infrastructure.

Annual Fees

Membership Fee

We charge an annual membership fee to maintain the infrastructure of this website and services.

Where we provide the products, the fee includes the creation of high quality mockups of your products, which can also be used freely by you on your social channels and marketing channels.

Shop Tier Level

There are a number of Shop Tier Levels –

  • Tier 1 is charged for a fully managed shop where The Enthusiasts Hub manages shop maintenance, product listing and order taking. Where a product sold is via our production partner, GDMK Images, we will manage production and posting. For all products sold from your 3rd party suppliers, you remain responsible for production and posting.
  • Tier 2 is charged for a barebones shop infrastructure where you manage your shop entirely yourself. Where a product sold is via our production partner, GDMK Images, we will manage production and posting. For all products sold from your 3rd party suppliers, you remain responsible for production and posting.
  • Tier 3 is for shops who are fully managed but only have 15 products or less.
  • Tier 4 is for shops who are self-managed and only have 15 products or less.

All levels have access to every product available from our supplier, GDMK Images, which includes a vast range of printed, laser etched and embroidered products.

I have a Tier 3 or 4 shop and want to add more products than 15

We have made the option to have a limited amount of products for small societies who don’t have many products and don’t want to or aren’t able to pay the full price. However, the best part of having an online shop with no stock needed, is that you may grow bigger than you were expecting and want to increase the amount of products you have in your store. You can buy an extra 15 products for x£ per year. If you want to increase the amount of your products again, you will have to subscribe to Tier 1 or Tier 2 for unlimited products.

Transaction Fees

There are several instances of transaction fees, which are charged in addition to the Membership Fee –

  • Sales of products that you supply from your own stock or supplier are charged a small percentage per sale.
  • Sales of products we supply on your behalf are deducted the equivalent of that products trade price with the remainder going to you

Transaction fees are only charged when a customer places an order from your shop.

You are NOT charged for –

  • Creating products
  • Amending products
  • Deleting products

How do the shops work?

Fully Managed Shop

With a fully managed shop, The Enthusiasts Hub will create a fully functioning shop populated with your desired products.

You need to supply us with a list of desired products and prices for all your products and state if you intend to source the product from The Enthusiasts Hub, your own stock or a 3rd party supplier.

You must state if your prices include P&P – if P&P is additional to your prices, you must supply us your postage costs and courier details.

For products we supply, we will populate each product with appropriate product descriptions and mockup pictures.

For products sourced from your own suppliers, you need to supply appropriate product descriptions and product images for us to create the product listing.

The Enthusiasts Hub will manage order processing, production and posting of all orders sourced from us.

You are wholly responsible for managing, processing and posting all orders for products sourced from 3rd parties or from your own stock.

Self Managed Shops

With a self managed shop, The Enthusiasts Hub will create a base shop for your products.

For products we supply, we will provide you with blank templates containing appropriate product descriptions and product images. These templates will contain sizing guides, product specifications etc as appropriate to the product type. The shop owner will need to add design descriptions and anything they want to describe what they are selling.

For products sourced from your own suppliers, you need to create and populate products with appropriate product descriptions and product images.

You are free to set your own product prices.

You are wholly responsible for managing, processing and posting all orders that include products sourced from 3rd parties or from your own stock.

Customer Communications

Each shop will have a dedicated contact form to allow customers to contact and interact with you.

In the 1st instance, shop owners are responsible for communications with their customers. We will provide support and advice as necessary

Conduct and Etiquette

The Enthusiasts Hub is a place of mutual trust, support and assistance. All shop owners are expected to act with the utmost respect, honesty and transparency in all dealings with both us at The Enthusiasts Hub and customers.

Dishonesty, false representation and rudeness will not be tolerated in any circumstances and breaches will result in termination of your shop.
